The difference in time from Krabi Airport to Koh Phi Phi depends on whether you choose to take the ferry or speedboat!

TIP: When you arrive at Koh Phi Phi, you must pay a 1020 Thai Baht environmental fee per person (make sure to have cash on you)

Mini Van + Ferry

After your arrival at Krabi Airport, you will exit the airport and make your way to the designated meeting point recommended by your transportation provider.

This transport option includes both MiniVan and ferry tickets, and connections are guaranteed. MiniVan departure times from Krabi Airport range from as early as 8:40 AM and as late as 2:00 PM.

Make sure to show up at your designated meeting in Krabi Airport 30-60 minutes prior to your MiniVan departure time. Once you’ve purchased your tickets, check how early you should be at the meetup point.

From the Krabi Airport, you will be taken in a minivan to Klong Jilad Pier in Krabi to board a ferry to Koh Phi Phi. Drive time from Krabi Airport to the pier is around 30 minutes.

Then, you’ll board the ferry from the pier to Koh Phi Phi, which takes around 2 hours by ferry.

The cost for both your MiniVan and ferry tickets is 664 to 944 THB, which is $19 – 27 US.

Once in Koh Phi Phi, you’ll arrive at the main Ton Sai Pier, and from there, you can walk to your hotel. If you have a lot of luggage, there are plenty of people offering wagon taxis to move your luggage to your hotel, so you don’t have to.

The transportation operator ensures a seamless transfer from Klong Jilad Pier to the ferry bound for Koh Phi Phi. Upon reaching the pier, your minivan driver will give you your ferry tickets, hand them to you, and provide clear instructions on where to proceed.
