The first thing you need to do is fly into Samui Airport. Unfortunately, most flights into Koh Samui Airport are domestic.

Samui International (USM) has flights from cities outside Thailand but they are minimal because it’s a small airport. Most flights flying into Samui Airport are domestic from Bangkok, and the airport is owned/operated by Bangkok Airways.

Fly into Samui Airport: You can fly into Samui International Airport; from Bangkok’s Airports / Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) or Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) – Flight Time: 1 Hour.

Can you fly to Koh Phangan?

No, you cannot fly into Koh Phangan because there’s no airport in Koh Phangan. The closest airport to Koh Phangan is Samui International Airport (USM).
