From fresh seafood grilled to order, Pad Thai, Thai curries, and Pad Kra Pow, there’s always something delicious to try—don’t forget dessert!

Phuket is home to numerous night markets within each beach area; areas like Kamala, Karon, Patong, and Kata have their own night market to check out.

However, the most famous is the Phuket Town Sunday Market, known for its rich history and vibrant setting among the colorful Sino-Portuguese buildings. But it’s only on Sundays!

Phuket FantaSea is open on Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday evenings, and it’s a good idea to arrive early for better seating. The park opens at 5:30 PM, but the theater gates don’t open until 8:40 PM, with the main show starting at 9:00 PM

Another option for a night of Thai Cultural Experiences is the Carnival Magic Show in Phuket. Funny enough, the park is located next to Phuket FantaSea as well.

The theme park hosts various attractions, bright light displays, fairground rides, parades, and more. Alongside the many lights and many performances, you’ll be sure to experience an eventful evening!

There’s also a wide selection of Thai cuisine to dine on throughout the evening. By the way, no matter your age, whether you’re with a family or a couple. Carnival Magic is fun and interactive for all ages, making it a perfect evening outing!

Getting Around Phuket at Night

There are a few ways to get around Phuket at night, and knowing your options is essential due to the island’s large size.

Here are the various transportation methods available after dark. Remember that public transportation is not available in Phuket during the night.

By the way, if you’re staying at a resort, some 4 & 5 Star resorts offer shuttle buses for guests, even at night, check with your resort!

  • Grab & Bolt: Both are popular ride-sharing apps that you can download the app and find a ride quickly. It is safe, efficient, and one of the best ways to get around Phuket.
  • Taxi & TukTuk: You will spot taxis and TukTuks all over the island, ready to take guests anywhere at night. Make sure you negotiate your price for a fair fare and avoid taxi/tuk-tuk scams.
