Before You Go to Phi Phi Islands

Before heading out to the Phi Phi Islands, here are a few tips to help you plan a seamless trip!

  • Read my in-depth guide about things to do in Phi Phi, restaurant/hotel recommendations, and more!
  • For those who suffer from seasickness, I’d recommend taking the ferry and staying on Phi Phi Don instead of a tour on a speedboat; the waters in the Andaman Sea can be rocky. They offer free motion sickness tablets at Rassada Pier; take them 30 minutes before departure.
  • You must pay a 20 Baht environmental fee upon your arrival in Phi Phi Don; only cash is accepted. Funds go towards aid and waste management on the island.
  • If you’re doing a Day Tour, attend an early morning tour and skip the crowds. Those staying on Phi Phi Don, do the same!
