How to Get from Krabi Airport to Koh Lanta

From Krabi Airport to Koh Lanta, it takes around 2 to 3 hours, and this includes both van and ferry transportation. By the way, this is the only way to get from Krabi Airport to Koh Lanta.

Mini Van Bus + Ferry

Once you’ve arrived at Krabi Airport, you’ll leave the airport and go towards the meeting location your transport operator suggested.

This transport option includes both the minibus and ferry tickets. MiniBus departure times range from as early as 8:00 AM and as late as 4:30 PM from Krabi Airport.

From the Krabi Airport to the Hua Hin Pier, it takes 1 hour. Then, you’ll board the ferry for around 20 minutes, and then there’s a drive from the pier in Koh Lanta to take you into town.

The operator guarantees your connection from the pier onto the ferry to Koh Lanta. As you arrive at the pier, your minibus van driver will get your ferry tickets, hand them to you, and let you know where to go.

There are many options for minibus van and ferry combination tickets from Krabi Airport to Koh Lanta. The only difference between tickets is the departure times, and some include hotel transfers.

If you book a minibus + ferry ticket combination, you will need to take a taxi to your hotel once you’ve arrived in Koh Lanta.

The cost for both your tickets, including minibus and ferry, is 350 THB/$10 US. Note that most operators allow up to one piece of 30kg luggage. Sometimes, there’s extra room, but not always.

Make sure your ticket says pickup from Krabi Airport and not Krabi Bus Terminal. Otherwise, you’ll have to leave Krabi Airport and get picked up at the bus terminal.

From Krabi Airport to the pier is 1 hour. Then, you will board the ferry to Koh Lanta, and finally, you’ll be taken to your hotel in Koh Lanta. Total trip time is around 2-3 hours.

The operator guarantees your connection at the pier onto the ferry to Koh Lanta. As you arrive at the pier for the ferry to Koh Lanta, your minibus van driver will get your ferry tickets and tell you where to go.

The difference with this method is that it includes a hotel transfer once you’ve arrived at the pier in Koh Lanta. If you want a hotel transfer, make sure it states so when purchasing your ticket.

If you use the first option, you will have to take a taxi to your hotel once you arrive at the pier in Koh Lanta.

The cost for a minibus, ferry, and hotel transfer in Koh Lanta is 382 THB/$11 US. Keep in mind that operators usually allow up to one piece of 30kg luggage.
